Will Sully – by way of Queens, NY – is back from a 5-month hiatus since completing mixtape, Hand Me The Keys …. , featuring single, “Don’t Go.” Sully has come a long way since P. Diddy’s Daddy’s House Studios cranking out beats for such artists as Marc Curry, Loon, Craig Mack, and the “Martyr” track off Shyne’s sophomore album.
The mixtape, hosted by Superstar Jay, features Mic Geronimo, TL Cross, Panama P.I., and is guess-produced by Showboiz and Gru All Day. The project was A&R’d by Teardropz of Hall of Fame , DJ Chuck Murdock and Bodega Ty.
Sully, nominated by the Underground Mixtape Awards as an “Artist to Watch For” seamlessly juggles writing and producing music. But if he had to pick, “between emceeing and production I would have to choose production for many reasons: producers don’t have to deal with the politics, stress, marketing and physical strain that emcees confront. With emcees, having finances usually makes the difference, whereas producers can navigate their way through the industry without a budget. At the end of the day quality music production is always in demand.”
Sully will move forward with new mixtape, 13th Floor, Spring 2013.
